Does anybody know why this happens.. It's getting kind of old hearing from people saying that the analog clock hands on widgets aren't there.. Why doesn't anybody address this problem???

Not seen that here. Which widget/s? And are the hands made using the analog clock plugin?
on Jun 08, 2005
Yes there using the stardock plugin. Most all of the clocks I make some people complain about it but not all of them.. Do you think including the plugin in the zip file and telling them to install to DX folder under sdplugins would help or not? I don't know how to write scrips so I have to use there plugins.. I also found if you import them and run them like that they seem to work right..

The plugin should be autoinstalling to their sdplugins folder so I don't think that'll help. It's probably worth checking with them that it does exist though just in case. Also getting version of dx from those who can and can't see it might show the issue.

I have this problem with Richards clocks (clear), so lets see if we can pinpoint what the problem is. Tell me exactly what I should have and in what folder it should be. For the record...I keep "all" my SDapps up to date, so I should have all the latest "stable" apps...I don't have any betas running.

And other clocks I have from people such as Tiggz run with no problem.

In my Plugins folder inside DesktopX I have "SDAnalogClock3.dll" if that helps.

Richard - I've personally never had problems with your clocks, but perhaps you would have better luck trying the newer (version 3) analog clock plugin. It doesn't require scripting and it allows you to use your own graphics for the hands. Just a thought ...

You might want to try clearing the widget cache. It worked for me when I had this problem.

(WebGizmos)In the plugins folder there should be two analog clock plugins 2 and 3 I'll send you the 2 since you already have the 3. Don't know if will help but it's worth a try...

Cool Richard! Hopefully that will fix the clocks I have of yours!

Wonder why plugin 2 isn't in there?
on Jun 10, 2005
That did the trick Richard! Now all you need to do is add the plugin to your clock zip and everyones in business!

And thanks for the suggestion Cindi. I checked that out with the Widget Manager and it said something about losing some settings or preferences when doing that. I wasn't to sure what that meant so I tried adding the plugin first and that did the trick.

Glad it works now..

That did the trick for the analog clocks, but didn't work on the digital clocks that I've downloaded. Is there another .dll needed to correct the problem?
on Jun 27, 2005
I am still having the same problem with the digital clocks too! Does anyone have a fix?

Hi Richard,
I have been away for awhile myself, so that's the reason for this delayed response. Anyway, would you please e-mail me the .dll file? I would like to give that a try. I appreciate the response.
My e-mail is: lp.stardock@lpvirtualsolutions.com
Thank you!
